Re-imagine! -- Tom Peters

This was my first Tom Peters book and chosen at random too. I couldn't put it down. A book that inspires as much as annoys (you'll constantly find yourself saying "exactly!" whilst reading it, concerning your current job).

Tom is a bit over the top for some (especially we Brits) and I know some don't like the design, but I love it. If you've ever spent any time chatting online, you'll get it immediately. He uses punctuation to make it read as he would say it on stage. LOTS of emphasis were necessary. Repetition. I think it makes the book much better - its a much more entertaining read than some dreary tomes from those in the world of business science.

As for usefulness, it scores highly again.  I was a frustrated cubicle dweller (luckily my cubicle didn't have walls, but the concept was the same) at the time and it lit my fire. Tom picks holes in everything Dilbert does, but in a serious manner. Everything that I consider wrong with business today, it would seem so does Tom.

It might be of lesser interest to the entrepreneur (intrapreneurs BUY IT NOW) but good for inspiring you to do something. If they're that inept, you can do better!
