MEHNDI - interactive music & song ceremony lead by Bollyqueer
3pm & 5pm- Assembly Room - free to attend

Bollyqueer is a dance company made by and for queer people, portraying stories of queer joy and non-conformity through the magic of Bollywood dance.

At this year’s festival, Bollyqueer will be offering a queer led mehndi ceremony, usually a pre-wedding ritual within South Asian communities, particularly in Hindu, Muslim and Sikh cultures. Our interactive Mehndi ceremony reframes gender stereotypes, and creates an inclusive space with live music, singing and dancing.
