‘Smara’, meaning recollection or remembrance, is an interactive installation that provides a contemplative space to remember all those have fought for social justice and human rights for Queer communities, alongside acknowledging individuals, communities and countries that do not yet have freedom of identity and self expression, This artwork has been created by the local community through workshops led by local artist Norman Mine.

Norman Mine, an Italian-London-based artist, who founded Norwood JunKAction, an art-eco-community project in Croydon. Mine conducts diverse creative workshops, prioritising accessibility and effectiveness for participants of all backgrounds and abilities.
