Bridging Beats — Young Artists Music Education Programme

About this Project

Bridging Beats is Inspirate’s flagship music education programme for young people, funded by Youth Music. It provides high-quality skills training, creative development and performance opportunities for young people to see themselves as artists in some of Leicester’s most diverse communities.

Running across schools and community centres in Belgrave and Highfields, Bridging Beats is a two-year programme that champions the next generation of global majority musical talent. Participants develop their skills, connect their musical heritage to contemporary forms and find their creative voice. The programme culminates in a public showcase at Leicester Cathedral and Royal Festival Hall — giving young people the experience of performing on a professional stage.
